Chocolate Hummus

  • 1.5 cup chickpeas
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (optional)


Put first 5 ingredients in a blender one by one. Add almond milk to reach desired consistency of a dip

 Yields 5 servings of about 40g


    These are some of the ways to use chocolate hummus:

    1. Icing on a cake or on muffins
    2. Spread on bread
    3. Spread on a wrap or pancake
    4. As a dip for fruit (sweet) or pretzels (savoury)
    5. Spread on apples
